The Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ) has won a tender to build a 200-bed hospital in Somalia. Nine companies competed for the tender.
According to TOKİ’s projections, the hospital will house 40 nursing classrooms and prayer rooms, 17 single rooms, 34 four-person rooms, a three-person room and a five-person room. These, plus the beds to be used in inpatient wards, clinical observation units and intensive care units will amount to 200 beds.
Medical professionals from Turkey will operate the hospital and stay in a guesthouse that will be built on the premises.
