As many as 1,460 nationals of 46 Asian, African, Arab, European and Latin American countries, have converted to Islam at the Islamic Information Centre of Dar Al Ber Society (Dabs) this year.
Rashid Al Junaibi, Manager of the Islamic Information Centre, said they are geared up to introduce the true teachings of Islam through an array of lectures and publications.
At least 2,213 lectures were given and 729,689 CDs were distributed.
The fresh converts include 390 people who accepted Islam in the holy month of Ramadan.
“The Centre ran 6,100 free Iftar meals, held 17 functions and activities, and distributed 76,100 brochures during the holy month,” he added.
“The Centre has also issued 767 conversion certificates attested by the Dubai Courts and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, and organised many courses for new Muslims planning to get married.”
The Islamic Information Centre, in collaboration with philanthropists, runs a variety of activities, services and courses to new Muslims and foreign community children in the most tolerant and attractive way as advised in the holy Quran.
