WardheerNews endorses Barack Obama for the
US presidential bid

Feb 4, 2008

In the face of war, you believe there can be peace. In the face of despair, you believe there can be hope. In the face of a politics that's shut you out, that's told you to settle, that's divided us for too long, you believe we can be one people, reaching for what's possible, building that more perfect union".

Barack Obama, Feb 10, 2007
Springfield, Il

It was Feb 10, 2007 in Springfield Illinois the birth place of Abraham Lincoln, standing in the very same place where Abraham Lincoln once called a divided house to unite and come together; the very same place where tens of thousands of people who were inspired and excited by Mr. Obama showed up for the rally that began the race of Obama for President. Even the 12 degree Fahrenheit weather would not deter would be supporters of Obama who came to rally for him on a frigid February day. The same group of loyal supporters who where there the same day he announced his presidency have assured his win in Iowa and South Caroline.

The words that come to mind when one thinks of Barack Obama are inspiration, possibilities, diversity and hope. Could this man be the optimism that America has been waiting for? Could he be the one who expunges the racial tensions and schism that has divided and existed in America for centuries? Could this man be the president that finally gives immigrants from Africa, African Americans and every shade in between aspiration that everything is possible in America now that America is ready to elect a black man for president? According to loyal followers the answer is an emphatic  YES.

Obama encourages Americans to ask more of their government. To shirk the good old days when their government dictated how to think, to shun the same old group who have run the white house for decades, and to think beyond party lines and instead unite along ideology. In his rallies Obama attracts the most diverse Americans seen anywhere.

In his short bid for the highest office of the land, Obama has united people of different races, socio economic levels, age groups and religious backgrounds. He has awoken the spirit which has died with President John. F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King in every American. He has given hope a chance once again.

At the top of his agenda Obama talks about economic growth, affordable health care for all and improving education by recalling Bush’s infamous tax credit for the wealthiest Americans and making investments on these areas.

Obama will bring leadership that will end the politics of fear that has been setting the agenda of the US government since that faithful day of September the 11th when a group of terrorists attacked the nation and killed 3000 people in New York and the Pentagon.

Thus, wardheerNews endorses Mr. Barack Obama for US President.
