DUBAI: Dar Al Ber helped 2,221 people convert to Islam in 2015

DUBAI, Dar Al Ber Society, DABS, has helped 2,221 people from 46 different nationalities convert to Islam at its Islamic Information Centre in 2015.

Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouie, Chairman of Dar Al Ber Society, said, “Of the 2,221 fresh Muslims, 494 embraced Islam through an all new service billed: ‘Have you helped anyone convert to Islam?’ while 1,350 others gave Shahada at the Centre with the help of staff scholars and preachers.”

Al Mazrouie pointed out that the Centre spares no effort to spread the true and merciful message of Islam among all members of the Society. “The Centre ran 3,772 lectures and lessons all over the year.”

The Islamic Information Centre also distributed 1.58 million scientific and religious brochures, leaflets, and CDs to foreign communities last year, according to Al Mazrouie.

Meanwhile, the Centre last year received AED 502,247 as donations from philanthropists in the UAE.

The Centre was also active on social media as well with 2,011 tweets and 1,167 posts on facebook in 2015, focusing on the merciful teachings and values of Islam, along with a number national issues.
