Women’s representative Mary Seneta and Senator Peter Mositet, both from Kajiado, said this will help establish the interests of the foreigners in the region.

They spoke during the launch of Beyond Zero Campaign Mobile Clinic at the Maasai Technical Training Institute on Thursday.

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta was the chief guest.

Seneta said the security of the people of Kajiado was not assured after residents allegedly raised concern over Somalis movements in the two towns.

“This is a matter of grave concern because these people (Somalis) have come here and they are buying land, building homes and institutions which are occupied by questionable characters who

cannot even speak in Kiswahili,” said Mositet.

He accused members of the provincial administration of being behind cartels that issue identification cards to aliens in total disregard of the national security.

Governor David Nkedianye who was hosting the First lady, called on the speakers not to veer out of the day’s subject.

“We came here to share with the First Lady the health concerns of our people and not to bring other issues different from this,” he said.

Mositet said the two issues were equally important.

He said without security nothing tangible can be achieved.
