Mogadishu, (Prensa Latina) A t least 30 people were wounded when a mosque under construction in the district of Hodan, in the outskirts of the capital, collapsed during the Friday prayer, the most important of the week.
Mohamed Hashi Farah, imam of the temple, confirmed the accident and told the media that some people remained trapped under the rubble.
The rescue are in progress, while the police required the presence of the engineer in charge of the works to interrogate him.
However, there has not been confirmation of fatal victims in the incident so far.
The collapse of the mosque happened 24 hours after heavy rains affected some parts of this city.
