We, the patriots hailing from the SSC regions of Somalia and residing in all corners of the world, pledge our unwavering support to any action by the Council of our traditional leaders defending the inalienable rights of the SSC people for freedom, existence and self-determination and which ensures that the SSC regions remain part and parcel of Somalia. Echoing the aspirations of the SSC people at home and abroad, we specifically hereby declare our support to the decree of the SSC Supreme Traditional Leaders issued on 28 December 2016 in which, as the highest ruling body in the SSC regions, they declared their opposition to any unauthorised talks between Dr Ali Khalif and his group with the one-clan secessionist enclave calling itself Somaliland that in anyway compromise the inalienable rights of the SSC people to be free and to remain in Somalia.
Based on the said declaration of the of the SSC Supreme Traditional leaders, we restate their stand, which reflects that of their people, as follows:
1. That Dr Ali Khalif Galaydh has lost the trust of his people by betraying their aspirations for which Khatumo was established in the first place by unilaterally engaging in acts compromising their inalienable self determination to be free and remain as part of Somalia.
2.That no bilateral talks can be held with the one-clan secessionist enclave calling itself Somaliland as long as their militia remain on SSC soil.
