With the formation of a new government in the millennium year of 2000, one could sense the prevailing political conflagration and the overwhelming social divisions that were evident in every sector of Somali society. Most Somali people were sardonically divided such that some had mixed feelings and confounding political skepticisms while others displayed jubilation at the formation of a new Somali government. However, dubiously-intentioned Western countries and most of the international community saw their political involvement in Somalia from different perspectives while outrageously detrimental wicked neighboring countries injected negative measures such as sabotaging the Transitional National Government’s (TNG) attempts to prosper and excel democratically and eventually rejoin the international community of nations. Unfortunately, for the sake of denying it the help and recognition it needed most, utterly diabolical forces united against the TNG with the crucial intention of obfuscating its legitimacy and credibility.

On the other hand, shockingly, most of the frontline states, as if fighting an avowed enemy, in unanimous concert, acted as proxies for strong, formidable foreign Western states who were out there to damage any attempts to salvage Somali supreme power or authority. Disturbingly, these frontline states intentionally contracted heavily-armed Somali warlords and a combination of many other contrasting evil forces who were getting advanced weaponry and well formulated destructive war strategies from neighboring countries particularly Ethiopia to demolish and fight the fragile transitional Somali government.

As if bad luck had befallen the Transitional National Government of Somalia (TNG), scathing attacks that were aimed at the top echelons of the Somali state reverberated from powerful global media houses mainly those having a stake in the misguidance and mismanagement of the beleaguered Horn of African nation. President Abdiqasin Salad Hassan and many government officials were labeled as terrorists having links to the dreaded Al-Qaeda. Although the Prime Minister Ali Khalif Galleyd tried hard to make the international community, especially those powerful Western nations espousing hegemonic tendencies to understand the true nature of the situation in Somalia, unfortunately, his exhortations fell on deaf ears and never materialized consequnetly seeing himself leaving the political scene with unaccomplished ambitions and unrewarded dreams.

Always, as a common precedent, it was a display of hyperbolical oppositional negativity when it came to issues affecting or related to Somalia because what the frontline states and many other deceptive individual figures reportedly relayed, especially the late Abdimajid who represented the Ethiopian government at the United Nations, smacked of absolute intentional or deliberate speciousness. Mr. Abdimajid, himself a man of Somali descent and a close confindant of the late Meles Zenawi, former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, worked round the clock ensuring that the TNG would never be the one claimed and visualized by the Somali government.

A couple of times, Somalia’s Galleydh and the deceased Ethiopian ambassador Abdimajid, argued over Somali issues with each one displaying different opinions in televised debates within the confines of the UN General Assembly. Galleydh, an eloquent debator, won himself accolades and showers of praise mainly from his fellow Somalis in the course of the internationally televised debates. To this day, Galleydh believes the vainglorious setups of Somalia’s enemies including that of antagonist Ambassador Abdimajid and his like-minded cohorts’ utter betrayal of the concept of Somalism and Somali nationalism, will not, in any way, alter the way he thinks regradless of the opposition actor’s political and military traps that are intended to inflict harm to the exhausted Somali people.
